Nilijarrk & welcome!

I truly don’t know where I’d be without food - it’s always been such an important pillar in my life.

Food carries history, Culture, connection, and deeply fond memories of my beloved Nan. Growing up, I spent countless hours learning from my Nan’s mastery of food, flavour, and the art of using ingredients as words to tell stories of Culture.

A proud Indigenous man, I’m passionate about keeping this art of storytelling alive—one dish at a time. Through immersive dining experiences, cultural events, and collaborations, I hope to honours the land, its people, and its flavours as The Storyteller Chef.

But above all, I’m a family man. My greatest joy comes from my wife and our four sons. Together they keep me grounded, driven, and connected to what matters most, and no matter where I go, they’ll always been central to my story.

“ Food is an integral part of Cultural Identity. I’m committed to preserving Indigenous culinary traditions, sharing knowledge, and celebrating the wonder of First Nations’ food heritage. ”

Every ingredient has a journey. Every dish tells a story.

Zach brings this philosophy to life by fusing traditional Indigenous cooking methods with contemporary techniques. From fire-roasting to native foraging, Zach creates dishes that speak to the soul of this land.
